Cambridge Young Learner English (YLE)

Young learners aged 5-12 years can take the Cambridge Young Learners of English (YLE) tests. These exams provide a reliable measure of how well a child is doing in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. YLE has three levels. Starters is the first, aimed at young children with very basic skills. Children are encouraged to progress by working through Movers and Flyers. Learners earn "Cambridge Shields" in each of the skills areas and are awarded certificates at every level.
